CEMG enables early detection and prevention of genetic diseases with HPC expansion powered by Lenovo and Intel®

To advance genetic, screening, diagnosis, and precision medicine, the Center of Excellence for Medical Genomics (CEMG) at the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University expanded its genome sequencing infrastructure with high-performance Lenovo ThinkSystem SR950 V3 servers powered by 4th Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors. That’s the power of Lenovo with Intel Inside®.

Customer Problem

To support its groundbreaking genome sequencing project, CEMG looked to scale out its high-performance computing infrastructure to increase compute performance and storage capacity.

Lenovo Solution

CEMG expanded its existing Lenovo cluster with nine Lenovo ThinkSystem SR950 V3 servers powered by 4th Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors—delivering excellent performance and efficiency.

Business Impact

The expansion cluster gives CEMG significantly more compute power and more storage capacity
to support the project, enabling users to run more datasets faster and more efficiently.

“I believe genome knowledge will become a cornerstone of future healthcare. Knowing your genome means a higher chance of prevention, accurate diagnosis, and targeted treatment.”

Prof. Dr. Vorasuk Shotelersuk, Director, Center of Excellence for Medical Genomics
